The Futility of Gun Control

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” – The Second Amendment

Whether it is college campuses, Amish communities, or other gun-free zones, bloodthirsty maniacal men will find a way to quench their cravings. Therefore, gun control laws do not work — because they are based on the erroneous assumption that criminals will obey the law. They don’t and won’t; hence leaving law-abiding citizens defenseless in the face of danger, as so happened that tragic July evening at the Aurora, Colorado movie theater where guns were not permitted, and a man who called himself   “The Joker” went on a shooting rampage. Boycotting Chick-fil-A Solves Nothing

I ate at Chick-fil-A six times last week to do my part to show support for a company currently under attack for upholding wholesome values. Eating at Chick-fil-A last week was my version of offering a one finger salute to the activists who allowed their feathers to ruffle after discovering the privately owned restaurant chain supports the Biblical definition of marriage. Liberals Jump on the ‘Blame The Tea Party’ Bandwagon After Aurora Shooting

Journalism, authentic journalism no longer exists in mainstream media outlets like NBC, CBS and ABC, some of which wasted no time linking the alleged Aurora shooter to the Tea Party. Rather than mourn the loss of life, some in the mainstream media could not control themselves and attempted to politicize the Aurora Atrocity.

The Colorado Tea Party has issued the following statement:

The Colorado Tea Party Patriots and the Tea Party Patriots are saddened to hear of the death and wounding of theater goers in Aurora, Colorado. The member of the Colorado Tea Party Patriots, Jim Holmes, age 52 is not the same person who has been identified as the shooter.

The attempts of some media organizations to characterize the shooter as a Tea Party member without having made any effort to contact our organization are shameless and reprehensible.

Obama’s Foreign Policy Communicating Wrong Message Globally

Awhile back, I drove past a sun tanning salon sharing a property line with a cemetery. The salon posted a sign that, in my opinion, was positioned too close to the cemetery’s property line. The sign read: “Walk-ins Welcome.” Obviously, the owners failed to communicate the message they intended, but did their part to lighten up the normally somber atmosphere around the cemetery. Playwright George Bernard Shaw was right when he said “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion it has taken place.” Continue reading

Heat Wave Is No Reason For Alarm

Baby, it’s hot outside. If it wasn’t for the refreshing cold front pushing through parts of the U.S. right now, one might be tempted to think there is something to all that global warming nonsense that conveniently breaks out every time it is warm enough for a climate change alarmist to break out in a sweat. Obamacare: Lies, Mistruths, Falsehoods and Fabrications

Legalization of something does not necessarily make it a good idea. It was once legal to own a slave. Democrats who voted against abolishing slavery in 1864, have been doing their part ever since to enslave Americans to one social program or another. Obamacare is just the latest example.
