If Egyptians get Iraqi-style democracy, thank Bush

After Egyptian President Mubarak stepped down today, an exuberant young Egyptian protestor told a Fox News Reporter that he and the protestors want the same freedom Iraq has.

Iraq would not have freedom today if George W. Bush had thrown in the towel when the chips were down before the surge – the surge that Barack Obama opposed.  Iraq was the war Obama continuously flip flopped on and described as a “dumb war” when he gave a speech at an anti-Iraq war rally in Chicago on October 26, 2002.

On May 25, 2004 George W. Bush said, “I sent American troops to Iraq to make its people free, not to make them American. Iraqis will write their own history and find their own way.”

Now Egypt must write its own history, but if a similar Iraqi democracy prevails, the world can thank George W. Bush.
